Is the string all painted on? I feel like the smaller canvas is actually tied. And the background.... Oh man! It reminds me of blue and white porcelain or something, and the transparent blue material over top of it was done perfectly :D

it's real thread, really tying down the small canvas. :) the background was loosely based on the wallpaper in my room but i totally see the porcelain! thankz
